Firebase is the backend JK Tech Hub uses when a mobile or web app needs authentication, a database, file storage and push notifications quickly, without a server to run. Projects from Rajkot that run on it include:

When Firebase is the right choice, and when it is not
Firebase is the right choice for the first version of a mobile app, for real-time and offline-capable features, and for small teams that do not want to operate servers. Authentication with phone OTP, social logins and email is solved in a day, hosting and analytics come with it, and the free tier covers most apps until they have a meaningful user base. For a startup validating an idea it is often the difference between launching in six weeks and twelve.
It is the wrong choice when:
- The application has complex business logic, relational data and heavy reporting: billing, ERP, payroll. A Node.js backend on PostgreSQL will serve you better and cost less at scale.
- Data residency or regulatory rules require your data on servers you control.
- Usage will be high-volume and read-heavy. Firestore pricing per operation can overtake a fixed server cost quickly, and we model that before recommending it.
- You want to avoid dependence on a single vendor for the core of your product.
Firebase and AWS both have a place; the proposal will state which one fits your roadmap and what moving between them would involve.
Cost and timeline for Firebase projects
A basic Firebase backend, meaning authentication, a Firestore database, storage, hosting and security rules for an existing or new app, starts at ₹20,000 and takes one to two weeks. A standard engagement such as a complete app backend with Cloud Functions, push notifications, an admin panel and analytics starts at ₹60,000 and takes three to six weeks. Enterprise projects with multi-service backends, complex security rules, third-party integrations or migration from Firebase to a custom backend start at ₹2,00,000 and run six to twelve weeks.
Firebase itself is free on the Spark plan for small apps; once an app grows, a typical business app costs ₹1,000 to ₹10,000 per month, and we set budget alerts on every project so the bill never surprises you. Monthly plans are available for rules maintenance, cost reviews and Cloud Functions updates.
